– 2 cups dried black chickpeas (kalay chanay), soaked overnight

– 1 teaspoon coriander powder
– 1 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– Salt to taste
– 1/4 cup cooking oil
– Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Recipe:
1. In a pressure cooker, add soaked black chickpeas, chopped onion, tomatoes, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
2. Pour in enough water to cover the chickpeas and cook for about 15 minutes or until the chickpeas are soft and tender.
3. In a separate pan, heat cooking oil and add the cooked chickpeas mixture. Saute for 5-7 minutes or until the oil separates from the mixture.
4. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan bread.
