Ingredients:
– 2 cups of chickpeas (chole)
– 2 onions, finely chopped
– 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
– 2 green chilies, finely chopped
– 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1 teaspoon garam masala
– 1 teaspoon coriander powder
– Salt to taste
– Fresh cilantro for garnish
– 2 tablespoons of oil
– Water as needed

Recipe:
1. Soak the chickpeas in water overnight or for at least 8 hours.
2. Cook the soaked chickpeas in a pressure cooker until they are soft and tender.
3. In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds.
4. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
5. Add green chilies and ginger-garlic paste and cook for another few minutes.
6. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
7. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
8. Add the cooked chickpeas to the mixture and mix everything together.
9. Add water as needed to achieve the desired consistency and allow the curry to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
10. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.
