Angara Biryani Dawat E Iftar Recipe By Kitchen With Amna

– Today, we will be preparing a delicious Angara Biryani that is sure to impress your guests with its rich flavors and aromatic spices.

Ingredients:
– 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
– 2 cups basmati rice, soaked for 30 minutes
– 1 cup yogurt
– 1 large onion, thinly sliced
– 4 tomatoes, chopped
– 3-4 green chilies, chopped
– 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
– 1 tbsp red chili powder
– 1 tbsp cumin powder
– 1 tbsp coriander powder
– 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
– 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
– 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
– 1/2 cup fresh mint, chopped
– 4-5 cups water
– Salt to taste
– 1/2 cup ghee or oil
– Coal for smoking (optional)

Recipe:
1. In a pan, heat ghee or oil and fry the sliced onions until golden brown. Remove half of the fried onions and set aside.
2. In the same pan, add the chicken pieces and fry until they are golden brown.
3. Add the ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
4. Then, add the chopped tomatoes, green chilies, yogurt, fresh coriander, and fresh mint. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
5. In a separate pot, boil the soaked rice with water and salt until it is 3/4th cooked. Drain and set aside.
6. Layer the partially cooked rice over the chicken, and top it with the remaining fried onions, garam masala powder, and a few spoonfuls of ghee.
7. Cover the pot with a lid and place a hot coal on top of the lid to give the biryani a smoky flavor (optional).
8. Cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the rice is fully cooked and the flavors have blended together.
9. Your Angara Biryani is ready to be served hot with raita and salad on the side. Enjoy!
