Kitchen with Amna Bread Rasmalai Recipe: How to Make Bread Ras Malai with Bread

Welcome to my kitchen! Today, I am going to share with you a delicious and easy recipe for Bread Rasmalai. This traditional Pakistani dessert is made with bread, milk, and a touch of cardamom. It’s creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor – perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients:
For the Rasmalai:
8 slices of white bread
4 cups of full-fat milk
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder
A handful of chopped pistachios for garnish

For the Chashni (Sugar Syrup):
1 cup of sugar
4 cups of water
A few drops of rose water (optional)

How to Make Bread Rasmalai:
Start by removing the crust from the bread slices and then blend them into a fine powder using a food processor or blender.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread powder with a small amount of milk to make a smooth dough.
Form small balls with the dough and then gently flatten them to make the Rasmalai discs.
In a separate pot, bring the remaining milk to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Add the sugar and cardamom powder, and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Carefully add the Rasmalai discs to the milk and let them cook for about 10-15 minutes or until they are soft and tender. Be sure to gently stir the milk occasionally to prevent the discs from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
While the Rasmalai is cooking, prepare the sugar syrup by combining the sugar and water in a separate pot and bringing it to a boil. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, then remove from heat and add a few drops of rose water if desired.
Once the Rasmalai discs are cooked, remove them from the milk and gently squeeze out any excess liquid. Then, transfer them to the sugar syrup and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
To serve, garnish the Rasmalai with chopped pistachios and a sprinkle of cardamom powder. Enjoy this delectable dessert with family and friends!
