– 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
– 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
– 1/2 tsp poppy seeds
– 1 inch cinnamon stick
– 2-3 cloves
– 2-3 cardamom pods
– 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
– 1 tsp red chili powder
– 1 tsp coriander powder
– 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
– Salt to taste
– 2-3 tbsp oil
– 1 cup water

Recipe:
1. In a blender, grind the shredded coconut, ginger, garlic, and green chili to a smooth paste and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, fennel seeds, poppy seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, and cardamom pods. Saute for a minute until fragrant.
3. Add the chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
4. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
5. Add the ground coconut paste and cook for a few minutes.
6. Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
7. Add the cubed potatoes, salt, and water. Cover and cook until the potatoes are tender.
8. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
9. Serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
