Paruppu Payasam In Tamil Pasi Paruppu Payasam

3. In a large pot, combine the cooked moong dal, jaggery syrup, and salt. Cook the mixture on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring continuously.
4. Once the mixture thickens, add the coconut milk and let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
5. In a small pan, heat the ghee and fry the cashew nuts, raisins, and coconut pieces until they turn golden brown. Add them to the payasam and mix well.
6. Finally, crush the cardamom pods and sprinkle the seeds into the payasam for added flavor.
