Pudina Pulao Recipe In Kannada Easy And Quick Pudina Rice Bath

Welcome to Kavya’s Cooking Channel! Today, I am excited to share with you my delicious Pudina Pulao recipe in Kannada. This easy and quick Pudina Rice Bath is a flavorful and aromatic dish that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced cook, this recipe is sure to impress your family and friends.

Ingredients:
– 1 cup basmati rice
– 2 cups water
– 1 bunch fresh mint leaves
– 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
– 2 green chilies, slit
– 1-inch ginger, grated
– 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 medium-sized tomato, finely chopped
– 2 tbsp oil
– 1 tsp cumin seeds
– 1-inch cinnamon stick
– 2-3 cloves
– 2-3 cardamom pods
– 1 bay leaf
– 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
– Salt to taste
– Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Recipe:
1. Wash the basmati rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. In a blender, grind the fresh mint leaves into a smooth paste using a little water.
3. Heat oil in a pressure cooker or a large pan. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and bay leaf. Saute for a minute until aromatic.
4. Add the chopped onions and green chilies. Saute until the onions turn translucent.
5. Add the grated ginger and minced garlic. Saute for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
6. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
7. Add the ground mint paste, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
8. Add the soaked basmati rice and gently mix to coat the rice with the mint mixture.
9. Add 2 cups of water and check for seasoning. Adjust salt if needed.
10. Pressure cook for 2 whistles or cook on a low flame until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
11. Once done, fluff up the Pudina Pulao with a fork and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
12. Serve hot with raita or any curry of your choice.
