Fish Fry Fried Fish Halwa Fry

I am thrilled to share my favorite recipes with you today! Join me in Andrea M Dsouza’s kitchen as we explore the delights of Fish Fry, Fried Fish, and Halwa Fry.

Ingredients:

For the Fish Fry:
– 4 fillets of your favorite white fish (such as tilapia or cod)
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon chili powder
– 1 teaspoon turmeric
– Salt to taste
– 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil for frying

For the Fried Fish:
– 4 pieces of your favorite fish (try using catfish or sea bass)
– 1 cup cornmeal
– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil for frying

For the Halwa Fry:
– 1 cup semolina
– 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
– 1 cup sugar
– 2 cups water
– 1/4 cup chopped nuts and dried fruits (such as almonds, cashews, and raisins)

Recipes:

Fish Fry:
1. In a bowl, mix the flour, chili powder, turmeric, salt, and ginger-garlic paste.
2. Coat each fish fillet in the flour mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated.
3. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the fish until it is golden and crispy on both sides.
4. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or a squeeze of lemon.

Fried Fish:
1. In a shallow dish, mix the cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Dredge each fish piece in the cornmeal mixture, making sure it is fully coated.
3. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the fish until it is crispy and golden brown.
4. Drain on paper towels and serve with tartar sauce or a squeeze of lime.

Halwa Fry:
1. In a pan, heat the ghee and add the semolina, stirring constantly until it is golden brown and fragrant.
2. In a separate pot, bring the water and sugar to a boil, then slowly add it to the semolina, stirring continuously.
3. Cook the halwa over low heat until it thickens, then add the chopped nuts and fruits.
4. Serve warm, garnished with additional nuts and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
